ALIA Virtual Annual Meeting: A Specialty Oil Company’s Approach to Sustainable Development

Abstract:
How does a specialty oil company like Nynas, whose bread and butter are specialty oil solutions for the lubricants industry, as well as for many other industrial, societal and consumer uses, approach sustainable development? We will have a look at some of the considerations and developments made on this continuous journey.
Speaker biodata:
With an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Marika joined Nynas in 1999. She has held various positions within R&D, including Technical Advisor and later on Manager Technical Development and Market Support. In 2015 Marika started working with projects and other initiatives to develop Nynas’ sustainable development ambition and she is now Sustainable Development Manager for Nynas’ Specialty Oils business.
