Abstract:

The new generation of turbines is pushing the boundaries of physics in a compact system, producing more energy and higher efficiencies. With these more severe operating conditions, it is critical that only a properly formulated turbine oil is used to ensure that it is able to withstand such harsh environments.

What are the critical requirements for such turbine oil? How is this translated to ensuring continuous smooth operation? What are some of the factors that can impact this process?
