SUMMARY:Impact of B50 PME on Fuel and Lubricant Performance – A Field and Laboratory Study
DESCRIPTION:Indonesia is the largest producer of palm oil in the world\, which can be refined and used as a palm methyl ester (PME) biofuel. With Indonesia once again preparing to raise its government-mandated biofuel content in diesel fuel from 40% to 50% in 2026\, the combination of a high level of biomaterial and the anticipated performance challenges led to a laboratory study examining high levels of PME in fuels and the consequent impact of fuel dilution in lubricants. \nFuel studies included filterability and cleanliness testing\, while the impact of PME on engine lubricants was assessed using the HTCBT corrosion and CEC L-109 oxidation tests. PME quality is also considered a significant factor. In addition\, real-world findings from B50 PME field trials will be presented. \nThis webinar will provide insights into the effects of higher biodiesel content on fuel and lubricant performance\, supported by both laboratory testing and field experience. \nWebinar Details: \n📅 Date: July 29\, 2026 \n⏰ Time: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM SGT \n🎤 Speaker: Yap Peng Koon\, Fuels and Engine Oil CTS Specialist\, Afton Chemical \nRegistration fee: Free for ALIA Members | Non-members US$50 \nRegister here: (https://www.tickettailor.com/events/asianlubricantmanufacturersunion/2274050) \nLast chance to register: July 24\, 2026\, 5:00 PM SGT

SUMMARY:Introduction to Bio-Sourced Lubricants and Their Applications
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is intended for an audience seeking to understand what bio-sourced lubricants are\, how they are made\, and how they can be used. \nToday\, demand for bio-sourced lubricants is driven by companies’ sustainability goals and heightened awareness of the harmful pollutants used in lubricants. This trend is fuelled by the use of renewable feedstocks and the belief that bio-sourced lubricants are necessarily environmentally friendly. \nUnfortunately\, this rapid surge in demand for more sustainable lubricants has led to confusion\, greenwashing\, performance concerns\, and widespread misunderstandings. \nThis presentation will explain what bio-sourced products are and how synthetic esters can fit that definition. It will demystify the confusion around bio-sourced\, biodegradable\, and environmentally friendly lubricants through clear definitions. Participants will gain an understanding of how bio-sourced lubricants are made\, the properties they can offer\, and the applications where bio-sourced synthetic esters are particularly relevant. \nWebinar Details: \n📅 Date: June 30\, 2026 \n⏰ Time: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM SGT \n🎤 Speaker: Baptiste Cailleret\, Technical Marketing Specialist\, NYCO \nRegistration fee: Free for ALIA Members | Non-members US$50 \nRegister here: (https://www.tickettailor.com/events/asianlubricantmanufacturersunion/2274030) \nLast chance to register: June 26\, 2026\, 5:00 PM SGT

SUMMARY:The Next Generation of Heavy-Duty Motor Oil
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nThe decarbonization of the transport sector is entering a new phase. While the conversation around passenger vehicles (PVs) has largely centred on electrification\, the path for commercial vehicles (CVs) is more complex\, involving multiple avenues. Stakeholders are simultaneously focused on improving fuel economy and adopting alternative fuels and innovative powertrain technologies. \nAs the powertrain landscape in commercial vehicles becomes more diverse\, it is unlocking new value in both mature and emerging segments of the lubricants and fluids market. Significant regional variations in decarbonization pathways reflect the unique sustainability goals and economic ambitions of individual countries. \nWebinar Details: \n📅 Date: October 14\, 2025 \n⏰ Time: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM SGT \n🎤 Speaker:  Sharbel Luzuriaga\, Industry Manager\, Energy\, Kline + Company \nModerator: Paul Nai Senior Director\, APAC\, Large Engine & Small Engine; Managing Director\, Lubrizol Southeast Asia Pte Ltd \nRegistration fee: Free for ALIA Members | Non-members US $50 \nRegister here: (https://www.tickettailor.com/events/asianlubricantmanufacturersunion/1762441) \nLast chance to register: October 10\, 2025\, 5:00 PM SGT
