DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Ismael Martinez \nManager Product Certification\, NSF \nFood-grade lubricants are lubricants that are acceptable for use in meat\, poultry and other food-processing equipment\, applications and factories. The different types of lubricants are divided into categories based on the likelihood that they will come into contact with foods. They are designated across the world as either H1\, H2 or H3. The approval and registration of a new lubricant in one of these categories depends on the ingredients used in the compound. \nNSF\, based in Ann Arbor\, Michigan\, U.S.A.\, is a global\, independent organization\, whose standards team facilitates the development of public health standards\, and service teams test\, audit and certify products and services\, including food-grade lubricants. The NSF mark assures consumers\, retailers and regulators that certified products have been rigorously tested to comply with all standard requirements. \nThis special event is sponsored by the ALIA Technology & Information Subcommittee under the leadership of Paul Nai.
