The ALIA By-Laws provide for the following categories of Membership:
- Ordinary Members
- Associate Members
- Affiliate Members
Eligibility for Membership
Ordinary Members
The following shall be eligible for Membership as an Ordinary Member of the ALIA, namely:
- Any Lubricants manufacturing or blending company, partnership, sole proprietorship or other body of persons, whether incorporated or not, transacting business in the Asia Pacific region;
- Any Lubricants manufacturing or blending company, partnership, sole proprietorship or other body of persons, whether incorporated or not, with an interest in the promotion of the Lubricants business in the Asia Pacific region.
Associate Members
The following shall be eligible for Membership as an Associate Member of ALIA, namely:
- Any company who supplies base oils, lubricant additives, packaging
material and equipment, testing, equipment, consultancy, etc. - Any company, partnership, sole proprietor or other body of persons, whether incorporated or not, transacting business in the Asia Pacific region which has a lubricants-based subsidiary, a substantial lubricants shareholding, employs lubricants management or conducts business with lubricants companies
- Any company, partnership, sole proprietorship or other body of persons, whether incorporated or not, with an interest in the promotion of the Lubricants business in the Asia Pacific region;
- Any company, partnership, sole proprietorship or other body of persons, whether incorporated or not and whether resident in Asia or not and which is not otherwise eligible for Membership, whose Membership would be consistent with the charter of the ALIA.
Affiliate Members
Any registered international or national lubricants business association or similar organisation.
