We represent members of the ALIA and the Asian lubricants industry before government bodies and play an active role in consumer education and generating awareness among user industries.
Our organisation’s goals include creating awareness of the importance of the lubricants industry in the economy’s eco-system. ALIA is also working towards gaining recognition from Asian governments and their agencies as the leading authority in the region’s lubricants industry. We are also working to promote a favourable public perception of the Asian lubricants sector and are aligning ALIA with organisations that help achieve this goal.
ALIA has established five subcommittees, including a subcommittee on Governance, Best Practice and International Relations to help drive our relationships with government bodies. To advance our association, Senior Parliamentary Secretary at the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Trade, Dr. Tan Wu Meng, was our guest of honour at the inaugural ALMU Annual Meeting & Global Leadership Summit in March 2019.
We have established strong working relationships with national and international associations sharing comparable objectives such as ILMA, UKLA, UEIL, SLTA, STLE, etc.
A recent partnership with Enterprise Singapore (ESG) was designed to explore ESG funding opportunities for locally based digitalisation projects. Overseas members can also tap into the agency’s knowledge base and expert resources. Our partnership with F&L Asia Ltd, a leading publisher in the Asian fuels and lubricants industry, allows ALIA to achieve higher awareness of our activities within our target market.
