Dr. Sanjay Kuttan

Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation
Title of presentation: “Maritime Decarbonisation: Navigating Uncertainty”
Dr. Sanjay Kuttan is an experienced leader with a track record of working effectively across industry for commercial outcomes. He has a strong focus on the energy transition and is currently CTO at the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation. Kuttan is advisor to technology companies Beep, with a specific focus on the electric vehicle ecosystem, and Motion Ventures, a strategic global venture investment fund that is backing sustainable and resilient maritime supply chains. Kuttan was Executive Director at the Singapore Maritime Institute from 2018 to 2021.
His experience in the private sector has primarily been in the oil and gas, as well as energy, sectors. The roles range from line management and business development at ExxonMobil, management consulting with McKinsey to policy and industry development for the Energy Market Authority and business leadership with DNVGL. In management consulting, he was involved in refining operational improvements, fuels and lubes retail strategy and corporate performance culture transformation.
ALIA Subcommittee and Council Meetings
ALIA’s quarterly Subcommittee and Council meetings will be held before the ALIA Dinner on November 8. The face-to-face meetings offer a platform for members to collaborate on the development of strategies aligned with the organisation's goals. Subcommittee meetings are the operational foundation of the organisation, and we encourage all ALIA members to become involved in one or more subcommittees. To join, please register as a member of the Subcommittee of your choice. Once you register, you will be invited to join the Subcommittee Meeting. Subcommittee meetings are open to ALIA members only. The meetings will be held at the Hotel Jen Tanglin by Shangri-La, next door to the Conrad Singapore Orchard Hotel.
