Oxea has announced three price increases in five days, covering carboxylic acids and specialty esters used in synthetic lubricants, the amine n-octylamine and a group of oxo alcohols and acetate solvents. The largest of the three, announced on 15 September, raises prices for eight carboxylic acids and three branded specialty esters with immediate effect, or as contracts allow. Oxea cited significant and sustained increases in raw material, energy and supply chain costs, combined with ongoing volatility in supply and demand.
