About the Course
Indonesia has introduced one of the world’s most comprehensive Halal Product Assurance systems through Law No. 33 of 2014 and Government Regulation No. 42 of 2024. As implementation continues to be phased in across product categories, companies supplying lubricants and related products into Indonesia should understand the applicable regulatory requirements, implementation timelines and prepare their organisations accordingly.
This one-day technical training course provides participants with a practical understanding of Indonesia’s Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), while placing the Indonesian framework within the broader context of halal regulatory developments across Asia.
Through technical presentations, case studies and interactive discussions, participants will gain practical knowledge of regulatory requirements, implementation strategies, certification processes and operational considerations specific to the lubricant industry.

Programme Overview
The course begins with an overview of the regional halal landscape and regulatory framework, examining halal regulatory developments across Southeast Asia together with the Halal Management System and Product Assurance Law.
Participants will then be introduced to the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), including its five criteria, roles and responsibilities, documentation requirements, and organisational preparation for implementation.
The programme will move into the practical application of SJPH within the lubricant industry, covering raw materials and additives, manufacturing and production controls, and Halal Critical Control Points relevant to lubricant operations.
The course will conclude with industry case studies, practical implementation examples and an interactive group discussion, providing participants with an opportunity to explore common questions, implementation challenges and lessons learnt.
