U.S. regulator probes GM engine recall fix on 998,000 vehicles

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened an engineering analysis into whether General Motors Co.’s (GM) recall remedy for its 6.2-litre L87 V-8 engine worked, covering 997,743 vehicles from the 2021 through 2026 model years.
